This Privacy Policy explains how Clipfinder AI ("Clipfinder AI", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our website at clipfinderai.com and related services (the "Service"). The Service lets you turn long-form videos into short, vertical clips and — at your direction — publish them to your connected social media accounts.

By using the Service you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Who we are

Clipfinder AI is operated by the Clipfinder AI team, based in India. For any privacy question or request, contact us at support@clipfinderai.com.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Information you provide

Account information — your email address and authentication details, managed through our authentication provider (Supabase).
Content you submit — YouTube (or other) video URLs you paste, video or audio files you upload, brand logos, captions, titles, and descriptions you create or edit.
Connected social accounts — when you connect a platform (e.g. YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X), we receive and store the access and refresh tokens and basic account identifiers that platform returns, so we can publish content you explicitly choose to publish.

2.2 Information generated by the Service

Derived content — transcripts, AI-suggested clip timestamps, reframed/rendered video files, and related metadata produced while processing your videos.

2.3 Information collected automatically

Usage & device data — log data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps, used for security, debugging, and improving the Service.
Cookies / local storage — used to keep you signed in and to remember your in-app preferences and unsaved edits. We do not use cookies for third-party advertising.

3. How we use your information

To provide the Service — download/ingest the video you specify, transcribe it, suggest and render clips, and add captions and branding.
To publish content to your connected accounts only when you initiate a publish or schedule action.
To authenticate you, maintain your account, and keep your saved projects.
To secure, monitor, debug, and improve the Service.
To communicate with you about your account or support requests.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use the content of your videos to train our own models.

4. Third-party services (sub-processors)

To operate the Service we share the minimum necessary data with the following providers, each under their own privacy terms:

5. Connected accounts & platform API data

When you connect a third-party platform, we request only the permissions needed to identify your account and publish content you choose to publish. We use the resulting tokens solely to perform actions you initiate (or schedule). You can disconnect any platform at any time from the in-app "Connected accounts" screen, which revokes our stored access for that platform.

Google / YouTube API disclosure. Clipfinder AI uses YouTube API Services. By using the YouTube features you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service and acknowledge Google's Privacy Policy.

What YouTube data we access and why. When you connect your YouTube account, we request the youtube.upload permission for the sole purpose of uploading the short videos you create in Clipfinder AI to your own YouTube channel, and only when you explicitly choose to publish. We do not read, collect, or store your YouTube videos, watch history, subscriptions, analytics, or any other channel data. We store only the OAuth access and refresh tokens needed to perform the uploads you initiate, plus a basic account identifier; these are kept until you disconnect YouTube or delete your account, after which they are deleted.

Limited Use. Clipfinder AI's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically, we do not use Google or YouTube user data for serving advertisements, we do not transfer or sell it to third parties (except as necessary to provide or improve the user-facing feature you requested, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger/acquisition), and we do not allow humans to read this data unless we have your affirmative consent for specific messages, it is necessary for security purposes (such as investigating abuse), to comply with applicable law, or the data is aggregated and anonymized for internal operations.

Revoking access. You can disconnect YouTube at any time from the in-app "Connected accounts" screen. You can also review and revoke Clipfinder AI's access directly through your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Meta & TikTok. Our use of the Meta and TikTok APIs complies with the Meta Platform Terms and the TikTok Developer Terms, respectively. We access, store, and use platform data only as needed to provide the publishing features you request.

6. Data retention

We keep account data and saved projects for as long as your account is active. Temporary working files created during clip rendering are deleted shortly after processing. Connected-account tokens are kept until you disconnect the platform or delete your account. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 8).

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures — encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers — to protect your information. Connected-account credentials are stored with restricted server-side access. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your rights & choices

Access & correction — view and edit your account information in the app.
Disconnect — remove any connected social account at any time.
Deletion — request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing support@clipfinderai.com.

Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under laws such as the EU/UK GDPR or India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. We honour applicable requests.

9. Children

The Service is not intended for individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

10. International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own (including by the providers listed above). Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, by notice in the app.
